
TotalEnergies Celebrates its Transporters
On July 22nd, TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana PLC proudly hosted the 2024 Transporters Conference and Awards Night at the Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra. Centred around the theme “Celebrating Wheels of Excellence for Sustainable Partnership”, the event brought together key stakeholders in the transport sector to honour excellence, discuss industry trends, and reaffirm the company’s commitment to safe, efficient operations.
The conference kicked off with an engaging stakeholder session focused on Championing Technological Innovation in Road Safety, showcasing strategic advancements implemented by TotalEnergies to strengthen safety across its transport operations:
- Dash Cameras & On-Board Computers: Installed in Bulk Road Vehicles (BRVs) for real-time monitoring, driver behaviour analysis, product protection, and continuous training.
- Electronic Truck Sealing Technology: First introduced in 2014, this system ensures delivery accuracy and product integrity with regular upgrades.
- Web-Based Driving Points System (DPS): Tracks safe driving behaviours and encourages continuous improvement.
- DPF Awareness Session: IBE delivered a detailed presentation on Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs)—covering maintenance importance, warning signs, best practices, and common errors.
- Review of 2024 Transportation Activities & KPIs, along with Transporter Compliance Inspections, reinforced TotalEnergies’ transparent approach to performance and safety.

The Awards Night celebrated top performers for their dedication and impact in promoting safety and service quality. Speaking on behalf of Managing Director, the Operations Manager, Mrs. Emily Makutwane reiterated: “Safety is a core value that TotalEnergies is prepared to invest in and uphold.”
Thanks were extended to all Transporters, Drivers, Staff, and Safety Officers whose relentless efforts led to zero recorded road accidents in 2024.
