TotalEnergies Celebrates 100 Years

On March 28, 2024, TotalEnergies group celebrated 100years of operation since its conception as Compagnie Française des Pétroles in 1924. This celebration was held in 120 countries worldwide and TotalEnergies Ghana was not an exception.
TotalEnergies Ghana held a Grand event to celebrate this remarkable day in the history of the company. The celebration started with a musical interlude from remarkable live band music. Followed by a historical film of the company evolving from Compagnie Française des Pétroles in 1924 to now TotalEnergies in 2024.

As the day progressed, the Managing Direction Mr. Olufemi Babajide gave a speech, followed by shared experiences from retired staff and current staff on how the company has evolved since they joined. A quiz on the history of TotalEnergies provided an opportunity for participants to delve into the company's remarkable journey over the past century from its humble beginnings to its evolution into a global energy powerhouse.

The event continued with awards presentations from the HSEQ team to groups that performed well in the Golden rule challenge the previous year. After the awards were presented, we proceeded to unveil the 100years logo and cutting of cake.
The 100years celebration for TotalEnergies Ghana continued with music, photo moment and merry making as there was enough to eat and drink till the setting of the sun. The event ended with a vote of thanks from the Human Resources Manager & Ethics Officer.
